Fun and basic physics too!
My not quite 4 year old daughter loves this game. It teaches simple balancing physics both while setting it up and while playing. It also helps children practice slow, controlled hand movements (and patience) and helps with simple addition practice.
There are two ways to play the game - one for children who can add (or are learning to) and one for very young children. Each piece has a point value and the person with the most points at the end wins OR the last person to remove a piece from the beam without knocking it over wins. Right now, we are playing the simpler version with no points.
As I said, she loves it. I expect she will enjoy playing this game for quite a few years to come.
Super cute
We received this as a gift for my son's 5th birthday. It has been a huge hit with him and even our 2-year old. I love that while the kids are playing, they're learning. Also love that the toy is made of wood, the paint doesn't smell at all, and the company plants two trees for every tree they use to make games. We definitely plan on looking into more toys made by them.
Amazing toy
I bought this toy for my 7 year old son. It's been a fun, educational toy & actually ties in with things he's doing in science class about weight & balance.
Fun and educational game
My 5 yr old really enjoys this game and trying to figure out which piece to remove without tipping it over.
Not recommended
The best thing you can say about this toy is it will never wear out.
I bought this toy for my grandchildren for Christmas, 2009. It had great reviews in two different magazines. We tried to play it twice, but for us it wasn't fun. It is too difficult for even adults to make the objects balance. It's more like work than fun. It has stayed in the box for 6 weeks now.
