Not crazy about it
I'm in the minority in my review, but while I agree the spoon rest is true red, the color began fading along the edges immediately with washing. It is also on the small side so it does not hold large spoons or spatulas. It is inexpensive, but I would not buy it again. Having the dimensions ahead of time would have helped, but the color fading is a bigger problem.

spoon rest melts easily
I wouldn't recommend putting this spoon rest directly on the stove. I'd keep it on a counter near the stove. It is plastic and melts very easily.

Red Spoonrest
I had been looking for a new red spoonrest and had not had any luck until I ran across this one. It is a bright red and was just what I needed. I was also glad to find it in melamine since the last one I had was ceramic and I broke it. This is much better for the kitchen and I would recommend it to anyone.On another plus, it was very affordable.

Purchased for my daughter's Black/White/Red kitchen.
The bright red color is perfect, as is the size.
