Not a DIY Book
Not a good book at all. Say 45 plans but does not say how they lack detail. Waste of my money. Found a free plan online that was step by step start to finish. As far as I am concerned this book is a waste of money. You can get a better book at Home Depot of less money.

A great book!
This book was more than what I expected. It had a lot of different types and great instructions. I would recommend this book.

I have owned and used this book for years and given it to friends. No, it doesn't have detailed building plans...but it does give general plans and dimensions for almost all the coops with wonderful photographs of very different successful coops. I used it to build my first coop, and I know nothing about construction. If you just want a by the numbers book of detailed standard coop plans (which may or may not suit your situation), this is not the book for you. But if you are trying to incorporate chickens into your life in a less than chicken friendly world, this is a great and inspirational book...that does have basic schematics.

waste of money
What a waste. Crudely drawn pictures of coop tractors. No real plans or insight. I could have gotten better pictures from ads on the internet.

Very Disappointed
Shame, shame, shame! The subtitle says '45 Building Plans...', but there are no building plans whatsoever - you're going to have to make up your own or buy them. For example, on page 65 is a Kids' Garden Coop which really appealed to me, but then I read this: "Plans with complete specs can be purchased from Dennis Harrison-Noonan (see Page 162 for Web address).". This book is a SCAM!!!!!!! I would give this book ZERO stars if that were possible.
